Jun Zhu, Bosch Professor of AI at the Department of Computer Science, Tsinghua University, IEEE Fellow, Deputy Director of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence at Tsinghua University, Director of the Human Intelligence Laboratory at the Department of Computer Science, and Founder and Chief Scientist of ShengShu. He is mainly engaged in the research of basic theory and efficient algorithms of machine learning. He has been awarded the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) QiuYue Outstanding Youth Award, the Scientific Exploration Award, the First Prize of Natural Science of the Chinese Computer Society, the First Prize of Natural Science of Artificial Intelligence of Wu Wenjun, and the Outstanding Paper Award of the International Conference of ICLR, etc. He has been selected for the National High-level Talent Program, the Young Scientist of the Chinese Computer Society, and the Chinese Pioneer of the MIT TR35.
