Xianyi Zhang

Founder & CEO of PerfXLab Technologies Co., Ltd.

He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Beijing Institute of Technology, and his Ph.D. degree from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), where he worked at the Institute of Software of Chinese Academy of Sciences (ISS), followed by post-doctoral research work at UT Austin and MIT respectively. He is the initiator and main maintainer of OpenBLAS, an internationally recognized open source matrix computing project. He is a member of the High Performance Computing Committee of the Chinese Computer Society, and a member of the Executive Committee of ACM SIGHPC China. 2016, he founded PerfXLab Pescadores Technology, which provides heterogeneous computing software stacks and solutions. 2016, he received the Second Prize of Science and Technology from the Chinese Computer Society, the Outstanding Scientific and Technological Achievement Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2017, and the SIAM 2020 Award.
