Yonghua Lin

Vice President and Chief Engineer of BAAI

Wing-Hua Lin is Vice President and Chief Engineer of BAAI, President of IEEE Women Engineers Beijing AG, and a member of IEEE Women Engineers Asia Pacific Leadership Group. Ms Lin was formerly the Director of IBM China Research Institute and an IBM Global Distinguished Engineer, where she led the global innovation of AI systems within IBM. She has been working on system architecture, cloud computing, AI systems, and computer vision for 18 years, and led a team whose AI visual analytics product won the 2018 Global Spark Design Industrial Design Gold Award. She has more than 50 global patents and has won several ACM/IEEE Best Paper Awards. Ms Lin was named one of Forbes China's 50 Leading Women in Technology in 2019. She is also one of the founders of the World Industry Specific Forum (WITS), together with other entrepreneurs and government agencies, to research and promote how technological innovations can be leveraged to lead industrial transformation in China (Greater Bay Area) and Asia Pacific.
