Zaiqing Nie

Dr. Nie Zaiqing currently serves as the Guoqiang Chair Professor at Tsinghua University, Chief Researcher at AIR, and Chief Scientist at Shuimu Molecular. Engaged in cutting-edge innovation in artificial intelligence and industrial applications in the field of biomedicine, he is the project leader for the 14th Five-Year National Key R&D Program "New Drug Development Grand Model". He obtained his doctoral degree from Arizona State University in 2004, under the supervision of Professor Subbarao Kambhampati, former president of the American Association for Artificial Intelligence. He completed his undergraduate and master's degrees in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Tsinghua University. In 2017, he joined Alibaba as the head of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory in Beijing and Chief Scientist of Tmall Genie. Prior to this, he worked at Microsoft Research Asia as Chief Researcher, and was the initiator and leader of Microsoft Academic Search and PeopleCube.
